Captain Daryl Wiese was born and raised in the Western New York area, growing up in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY. He grew up fishing with his family from an early age, whether it was day trips or week-long vacations at WNY lakes, where his dreams of becoming a charter captain all started.

Captain Daryl has earned his USCG Master Captain credential along with Towing Assist, First Aid and CPR. In 2019 the dream of starting a charter business became a reality by opening STRESS REELIEF SPORTFISHING with the support of his family and close friends. He brings over 25 years of experience on Lake Erie, Lake Ontario and inland waters of WNY fishing for Bass, Walleye, Perch, Trout or Salmon.

Whether maintaining his boat and gear, researching new techniques, or tying new leaders and harnesses, he always dedicates the time required to make the best possible experience for his customers. This includes teaching individuals, children and families various techniques from rod-in-hand to multiple trolling methods to help them catch their favorite species. There is nothing more satisfying to a Captain than seeing the smiles and excitement on customers’ faces as they are reeling in a fighting fish, or just enjoying time with their friends and family.
